Class Registration
Please call the Evergreen Dance Center at 303-670-7221 to get your dancer placed in classes. All students must be placed before enrolling with Evergreen Park and Recreation District.
The dance season starts with classes on September 3, 2024 and continues through May 2025.

Learn the foundations of ballet technique.
Dress code: pink ballet slippers, leotard and tights, optional ballet skirt.
Prices listed below are for families in district.
- Pre-Ballet teaches introductory ballet and creative movement for ages 3.6-5. $60 / month
- Ballet 1 teaches introductory ballet and creative movement with classical ballet foundation for ages 5-6. $70 / month
- Ballet 2 teaches beginning ballet with classical ballet foundation for ages 6-8. $70 / month
- Ballet 3 teaches beginning/intermediate ballet with classical ballet foundation for ages 8-10. $70 / month
- Ballet 4 classes run twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays, teaching intermediate/advanced ballet technique for ages 10-16. Teacher placement/approval required. Students are required to take both classes. $160 / month
- Ballet 5 classes run twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays, teaching advanced ballet and pointe technique for ages 13-18. Teacher placement/approval required. Ballet 4 is a prerequisite. Students are required to take both classes. $160 / month
Jazz is a high energy class with an emphasis on technique, stretch and strengthening.
Dress code: dance pants/athletic wear, fitted top, nude jazz shoes.

- Jazz 1 teaches beginning/intermediate jazz foundation for ages 7-11. $70 / month
- Jazz 2 teaches intermediate/advanced jazz foundation and technique for ages 11-16. Teacher placement/approval required. $70 / month
- Jazz 3 teaches advanced jazz foundation and technique for ages 14-18. Teacher placement/approval required. $70 / month
- Jazz Funk teaches intermediate/advanced combination or jazz and hip hop movement for ages 12-18. $70 / month
Jazz and Tap Combo is a high energy class with an emphasis on technique, stretch and strengthening, and tap rhythms.
Dress code: dance pants/athletic wear, fitted top, nude jazz shoes, black tap shoes.
Prices listed below are for families in district.
- Jazz/Tap Combo teaches introductory jazz and tap rhythms for ages 4-7. Must have jazz and tap shoes. $70 / month
Explore fundamental tap dance technique and terminology, with an emphasis on musicality and coordination.
Dress code: dance pants/athletic wear, fitted top, black tap shoes (split sole tap shoes are NOT recommended).

- Tap 1 teaches beginning tap rhythms, vocabulary and fundamentals for ages 6-10. $60 / month
- Tap 2 teaches intermediate tap rhythms, vocabulary and fundamentals for ages 10-16. $70 / month
- Tap 3 teaches intermediate-advanced tap rhythm, vocabulary and fundamentals for ages 13-18. Teacher placement/approval required. Tap 2 is a prerequisite. $70 / month
- Adult Tap teaches basic tap rhythm and fundamentals for ages 18+. $70 / month
Lyrical dance combines ballet and jazz dancing techniques combined with expression of emotion. Contemporary dance utilizes this technique with an emphasis on improvisation.
Dress code: dance pants/athletic wear, fitted top, bare feet, socks or lyrical shoes.

- Lyrical Contemporary 1 teaches beginning/intermediate lyrical & contemporary dance movement for ages 10-16. Co-requisite ballet or jazz. $70 / month
- Lyrical Contemporary 2 teaches advanced lyrical and contemporary dance movement for ages 13-18. Co-requisite ballet or jazz. Teacher placement/approval required. Lyrical Contemporary 1 is a prerequisite. $70 / month
Learn the basics of various urban dance styles including hip-hop, breaking, popping, whacking, funk and house.
Dress code: dance attire you can move freely in (no jeans), sneakers.

- Hip Hop 1 teaches beginning urban dance and hip hop movement and terminology for ages 4-6. $60 / month
- Hip Hop 2 teaches beginning urban dance movement and terminology for ages 7-10. $70 / month
- Hip Hop 3 teaches intermediate urban dance movement and terminology for ages 11-16 $70 / month
- Hip Hop 4 teaches advanced urban dance movement and terminology for ages 14 -18. Teacher placement/approval required. $70 / month
Modern dance teaches the body to move as an expressive tool.
Dress code: dance pants/athletic wear, fitted top, bare feet, socks or lyrical/modern shoes.

- Modern 1 teaches intermediate modern movement for ages 9-13. Teacher placement/approval. $70 / month
- Modern 2 teaches advanced modern movement for ages 13-18. Teacher placement/approval. $70 / month
Performance Team offers students ages 10 and up the opportunity to gain additional performance experience. Must audition to be a part of the team.
Dress code: class attire, come prepared with all props needed for dances as well as all dance shoes.
$80 / month, 1-3 rehearsals per week on a rotating schedule.

Registration Fee and Studio Policies
An annual $25-per-family registration fee is due in September or at the time of registration. Enrollments are accepted throughout the year. Please contact Evergreen Dance Center at 303-670-7221, to be placed in the appropriate class before enrolling with the Recreation Center.
To ensure the smooth, safe running of Evergreen Dance Center and an enjoyable experience by all, please read our studio policies. All students and parents are responsible for adhering to our policies. Multiple infractions will result in the student being withdrawn from our program.

Payment Policy and Multi-Class Discount
Tuition is based on a yearly rate in which holidays and recesses are excluded. This yearly rate is divided into nine installments, which are due on the first of each month, September through May. No credits, refunds, or transfers will be issued for missed classes. Full monthly tuition must be paid on time for students to participate in class.
A multi-class discount applies when a student, or sibling, is taking two or more dance classes. A 30% discount will be applied to each class. These discounts will be applied on a month-to-month basis. You will not get the discount if you pay for multiple months in advance. The discounts will become available at the beginning of each month, for that month.
Class Preparation and Dance Attire
Please label all shoes and other dance-related items with your child’s name so lost items may be returned. Evergreen Dance Center is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Bring a water bottle and be sure to use the restroom before class.
Please arrive at least five minutes early to prepare for class, arriving late is disruptive to the class and teacher.

- Jazz – dance pants/athletic wear, fitted top, nude jazz shoes
- Tap – dance pants/athletic wear, fitted top, black tap shoes
- Lyrical/Contemporary/Modern – dance pants/athletic wear, fitted top, bare feet, socks, or lyrical shoes
- Hip Hop – dance attire you can move freely in (NO jeans), sneakers
- Hair – hair must be securely tied back in a ponytail, braid, or bun for all dance classes
